Nothings says summer like a dip in an alpine lake. Week 8 marked the opening of our very own camp lake, affectionately dubbed “Lake Woodward”. Campers have been out paddling, and hanging on the shore with their sites set on the new floating docks. See what else went down at Woodward Tahoe this week:
We had a special visit during week 8 from none other than Aaron “Wheelz” Fotheringham. Wheelz landed his second-ever double back flip inside the bunker while week 8 campers watched and cheered. Hands down the most memorable moment of Summer Camp 2019.
Construction kicked off for our fresh new mountain bike trail scheduled to open by the end of summer. Meanwhile the MTB and BMX campers were sending it on the dirt. Coaches and campers were equally as hyped to be riding the trails and trenches in this beautiful weather on the summit.
Woodward Tahoe riders Cade Brock and Luke Whitlock took home some serious cash in Southern California this past weekend also! They used the WWT facilities to train beforehand, and it looks like it paid off! Great job, boys!
Campers were stoked to put their own mark on the New Eastern Sierra Skatepark trying and learning new tricks. Dylan Hilton came out for a few days to stoke out campers with contests, swag and good times!
